Chocolate Treasures of Life is based on a true story. After a traumatic event, a woman’s life almost spiraled out of control following the unexpected death of her mother and the birth of her first child. Caught in a web of depression, emptiness, detachment, and fear of the unknown she wants to take the easy way out, but something in her soul continues to fight as she holds on each day. Determined to restore her faith, rebuild a sense of normalcy and define this new phase of her life she has to challenge herself to reflect on a childhood she had long suppressed. After reflecting back on her childhood, she finds striking similarities between her life as a kid and her new life. Unknowingly, this journey, helped her to connect with familiarity, as well as, identify how she triumphed through life’s hardships as she encountered unfamiliar stages of life. She never thought her past would hold the answer to her future. For years, she wondered, how can something that caused her pain be the mechanism for healing the very wound of her soul? Has her life in some ways come full circle?
