This book is a dedication to my Mom for all the love she showed me, the rest of our family, friends and associates over the years. The title, 'Changed in a Moment' came to me after the summer of 2005, when her health really began to deteriorate. I specifically, recall that it was around December 17th that I could see (with my naked eye) physical changes take place. Over time, I felt it was important to go beyond saying the words 'I love you' to her; I wanted to put it in a book so that it will forever be written as an account of her life and those whom she profoundly touched through all of her years. Although it started as being part of my Master’s program study in Curriculum & Instruction at Lesley University, it quickly became an all-consuming mission that I had to start and finish over the 2005 Winter Holiday break. But through our faith in God, combined with constant prayer without ceasing, Mommy stayed on the battlefield! So, by reading this book, you will discover many of the things that went into making her the inimitable person that she was for 67 years. You will also hear the memories and impressions of some of the many people who truly loved her. In addition, I was able to solicit recollections, photographs and memorabilia about my mother’s life from her friends. So, you will meet her brother, who was only about 10 or 11 years old when she got married. He shares his memories of what life was like growing up with Annie Belle. He also talks about her (interests, habits and antics) throughout grade school and beyond. And, this gave shape to the different themed-chapters throughout the life she lived.
