《我的防艾路》由高耀洁所著，独家披露作者的防艾经历和生活细节，很多资料和图片系首次公布。 书中记述了她作为退休妇科医生，从在外医院会诊中遇到第一例艾滋病病例开始，进一步追查艾滋病病源，自费印发防艾知识宣传宣传资料，并逐渐在实际调查中揭露了艾滋病在中国大地泛滥的血祸真相。高耀洁认为，艾滋病在中国传播的主要途径是采血和输血过程，而不是之前政府卫生部门宣传的主要由不良性行为或者是吸毒造成的交叉感染引起，而由于输血而感染艾滋病的患者尤其无辜。她表达了对中国血液安全问题的担忧：非法采血已经转入地下，国家对血液污染事故的查处不彻底，司法部门对待由输血而无辜感染的艾滋病患者不公正，她还提出了照顾艾滋孤儿的具体办法。她因为反对官方宣传'艾滋病在中国的主要传播途径是性传播和吸毒传播'的观点而备受误解阻扰及打压。她也在书中记录了各级官员对她行为的打压，包括对她儿女的各方面打压，家里电话被无故停机，去艾滋村被当地官员悬赏举报等。高耀洁还在宣传艾滋病的过程中遭遇各种艾滋骗局。最后记叙到她受打压而被迫出走异国。此书国内版本于2001年由广州人民出版社出版，但是未等到发行即被命令下架，因此读者尚无途径阅读。此次由加拿大国际出版社出版，满足一位9旬老人想要公开事实真相的愿望，又让世人知道中国现实事实。
