No momento em que a tecnologia transforma todo o cenário do mercado de trabalho, modificam-se as relações empregado-empresa. Este estudo intentou conhecer se as atitudes dos profissionais que se inserem no mercado são mais aderentes à idéia da carreira tradicional ou à idéia da carreira auto-dirigida ou proteana, verificar qual o grau de satisfação com a carreira, profissão e emprego, e qual a relação destas variáveis com âncoras de carreira. Inicialmente foi feito um levantamento teórico sobre os conceitos de carreira e sobre satisfação no trabalho. Centrado neste objetivo, adotou-se o conceito de Carreira Proteana de HALL (1976) e o modelo de Âncoras de Carreira de SCHEIN (1990), dentre outros instrumentos. Nesta pesquisa houve a participação de 113 profissionais de diferentes cargos e empresas, estudantes de Graduação, Pós-Graduação e Mestrado, em escolas particulares.
