I nanofosfori di silicato di stronzio (Sr2SiO4) sono stati preparati con il metodo della sintesi per combustione in soluzione e sono stati caratterizzati mediante diffrazione di raggi X, SEM e TEM. L’ottimizzazione strutturale dei nanofosfori Sr2SiO4 è stata effettuata variando la temperatura, il combustibile e la temperatura di calcinazione e per la sintesi è stata ottenuta. La condizione ottimale per il fosforo sintetizzato utilizzando la glicina come combustibile e calcinato a 900° C per la durata di 3 ore ha mostrato una migliore cristallinità. La condizione ottimale è stata utilizzata anche per la sintesi dei fosfori Sr2SiO4:Sm3+, Sr2SiO4:Eu3+ e Sr2SiO4:Dy3+. La XRD di tutti i fosfori sintetizzati era ben indicizzata con la scheda JCPDS n. 39-1256 che corrisponde alla struttura ortorombica. I diagrammi di Scherrer e WH sono stati utilizzati per determinare la dimensione media dei cristalliti, che è risultata essere di circa 40 nm, 43 nm e 38 nm rispettivamente per lo Sr2SiO4 drogato con Sm3+, Eu3+ e Dy3+. È stata studiata l’analisi strutturale dettagliata dello Sr2SiO4 drogato con Dy3+.
