Il calcestruzzo tessile (TC) è un composito costituito da calcestruzzo idraulico a grana fine strutturato con un materiale non metallico, che può essere fibra di vetro resistente agli alcali, carbonio o aramide. Questo composito presenta una serie di vantaggi rispetto al calcestruzzo armato convenzionale, tra cui l’assenza di un ulteriore rivestimento in calcestruzzo per proteggere l’acciaio, che consente di risparmiare sulla massa dei materiali componenti e di ridurre il peso del pezzo finale, con un impatto diretto sui costi di trasporto e di manodopera. Considerando che questo materiale è di primo piano nel mercato attuale e che il Brasile ha un livello embrionale di ricerca sull’argomento, questo lavoro mira ad adattare le metodologie utilizzate nella produzione di calcestruzzo tessile alla realtà brasiliana, con l’obiettivo di dimostrare che il Brasile è in grado di condurre nuovi studi e persino di produrre il nuovo composito con materiali presenti nel Paese.
