我翻书，啥体裁都行。可身在牛棚，活多，人杂，少整状功夫，有时就读读短而精的诗词。今人的无大兴趣，流行的倒看不惯，古人的有些嚼头，不算浪费精气神。于是，中国的，外国的，古典的，现代的，有点嚼头的，都拿来翻一翻，品一品，也把牛们的各种奇异情状对照一下，或者和牛们，和牛诗人们，交流一番。记得，徐志摩曾写道：'带一卷书，走十里路，选一块清净地，看天，听鸟，读书。倦了时，和身在草绵处寻梦去。'这段话好，迷思玄幽，意境诗化，令人神往。可于我而言，并非新鲜，放牛时常心契领会，略知其中况味。然窃以为，天高鸟鸣书香草绵，尚美中不足，缺了一样，啥？酒。即使'寻梦'了，却少些许微醺快意。
