Ueblicherweise wird bei der Torsion von Kastentragern aus Stahl oder aus Stahlbeton sowohl im elastischen wie im plastischen Bereich nur die soge­ nannte Umlauf torsion (konstanter Schubfluss) beachtet. In der vorliegenden Arbeit, welche als Dissertation ausgearbeitet wurde, untersucht Herr LOchin­ ger den Einfluss der W6lbtorsion (veranderlicher Schubfluss) auf den Bruch­ widerstand von Stahlbeton-Kastentragern. Neben rein theoretischem Interesse hat der Fall auch praktische Bedeutung bei solchen Querschnitten etwa, die eine schwach ausgebildete Wand aufweisen. In einem zweiten Teil wird der Bruchwiderstand unter den kombinierten Schnittkraften Torsion, Biegung und Querkraft hergeleitet. Mit dieser Arbeit hat das Forschungsprojekt 'Stahlbetontrager unter Torsion, Biegung und Querkraft' seinen Abschluss gefunden. Neben einer Reihe von Ver­ suchsberichten und Ver6ffentlichungen, sind aus ihm auch drei Doktor-Disser­ tation8n hervorgegangen. Die Ergebnisse haben in den schweizerischen Normen (SIA 162, Richtlinie 34) wie auch im Model Code des CEB (1976) ihren Nieder­ schlag gefunden. Mit Genugtuung dOrfen wir damit feststellen, dass das For­ schungsprojekt neben wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen auch unmittelbar prak­ tische Resultate geliefert hat.
