Diese Forschung ist das Ergebnis eines Projekts (Teil der Doktorarbeit), das von der Gesellschaft für Technologietransfer in der Landwirtschaft finanziert wurde. Sie wurde für die Bereitstellung von Biogasanlagen für Haushalte durchgeführt. Die vorliegende Studie wurde mit dem Ziel initiiert, die Produktion von Jubraka-Gemüse unter Verwendung von Biogas als qualitativ hochwertigem Dünger in einem Gebiet zu verbessern, in dem ein guter Tierbestand ein großes Potenzial an Biomasse für den Biogasbetrieb bietet. Die Bereitstellung einer alternativen Einkommensquelle aus Biogas würde den Frauen die Last der harten Arbeit ersparen und den Lebensstil der Landfrauen verbessern.
