È stato fatto un inventario di 42 specie di insetti e acari diversi per la coltivazione biologica della zucca bottiglia. In totale sono state osservate 42 specie di insetti e acari appartenenti a 35 famiglie di 12 ordini: Hemiptera, Dermeptera, Mantodea, Odonata, Orthoptera, Coleoptera, Diptera, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, Neuroptera, Acarina e Araneae. Gli insetti dell’ordine Hemiptera sono stati osservati come gruppo dominante con 11 specie e 10 famiglie che hanno contribuito al 27,5%. Anche la popolazione di acari è stata osservata nei sistemi di agricoltura biologica durante l’intero periodo di studio. Durante l’estate 2020 e 2021 sono stati osservati in totale 5093 insetti e acari della zucca bottiglia. Gli ordini Hemiptera (36,66%) e Coleoptera (32,32%) erano relativamente più abbondanti nelle aziende biologiche rispetto agli altri ordini. L’indice di diversità di Shannon, la ricchezza di specie e l’uniformità di specie degli insetti e degli acari delle colture biologiche di zucca bottiglia sono stati registrati rispettivamente come 2,94, 10,57 e 0,80.
