Kwasy wybrane do badania to DS-99, kwas azotowy, kwas siarkowy, kwas chlorowodorowy i kwas fosforowy. Jako kontrolę przyjęto brak obróbki kwasem. W przypadku dwóch wybranych szklarni zastosowano łącznie dwanaście metod obróbki (sześć metod dla emiterów typu online i sześć metod dla emiterów typu inline). Ponadto zaplanowano również wstrzykiwanie kwasu w stałych odstępach czasu (15 dni). Okresowo odnotowywano obserwacje biometryczne roślin, takie jak wysokość roślin (cm) i obwód (cm), aby sprawdzić wpływ odblokowania emiterów w wyniku zastosowania różnych kwasów.
