Como membro da comunidade docente, sente-se vontade de realizar esta investigação-ação educativa para abordar questões sobre o seu campo de interesse. Como base teórica de apoio a este estudo, a presente investigação está profundamente enraizada na teoria construtivista da aprendizagem. Assim, o principal objetivo desta investigação é identificar os principais constrangimentos subjacentes à difícil associação da teoria e da prática para integrar os esquemas autónomos dos alunos no processo de aprendizagem. Explora também as atitudes dos professores face a este fenómeno. A aptidão dos alunos para monitorizarem o seu processo de aprendizagem é também abordada neste percurso. Para o efeito, esta reflexão pedagógica apela à utilização de um método analítico descritivo com referência aos seguintes instrumentos de investigação: Dois questionários; o primeiro é entregue aos professores da universidade de Hassiba Benbouali. O segundo questionário é entregue aos alunos de mestrado 2 do departamento de inglês. Em seguida, é efectuada uma entrevista com o Vice-Decano de Pedagogia da Faculdade de Letras e Línguas Estrangeiras. O Diretor do Departamento de Inglês é também entrevistado como participante relevante na formação do processo de ensino/aprendizagem.
