El encuentro con el niño autista nos ofrece una ocasión de asomarnos al abismo, donde aquellas contraposiciones sirven de poco.Por la ética de la diferencia que desarrolla, este libro tiene la habilidad desenvuelta, a la par que cumple su objetivo de puesta al día del estado de la cuestión de hacer perceptibles convergencias espontáneas e independientes, a las que se llega a través de enfoques, procedimientos y teorizaciones muy distintas.Seguramente hay más de una posición desde la cual beneficiarse con la lectura de este libro. Habrá quien lo consulte por motivaciones eminentemente técnicas o movido por consideraciones estrictamente pragmáticas. A nuestro juicio, tan legítimo como esto es, no debería hacerse dejando pasar la oportunidad de una segunda inflexión en la lectura, que más allá del horizonte técnico, atisba cuestiones tan fundamentales de la existencia humana que el libro, en general, tiene el buen tono de no reprimir. 10
