Konventionelle Raufutterquellen wie Jowar Stover und Mais Stover wurden mit süßer Sorghum Bagasse verglichen, einem unkonventionellen Raufutter, das als Nebenprodukt der Agrarindustrie gewonnen wird. Die Raufuttermittel wurden zu 50 % in die Gesamtration eingearbeitet und als expandierte, extrudierte Pellets an heranwachsende Widderlämmer gefüttert, die nach dem Absetzen 120 Tage lang in drei Gruppen aufgeteilt wurden. Die Parameter wie Wachstum, Verdaulichkeit, Schlachtkörperqualität und Wirtschaftlichkeit der Fütterung wurden eingehend bewertet.
