Ziel der Studie war es, die Aufsichtskompetenz und die didaktischen Führungsfähigkeiten von Schulleitern an Sekundarschulen in der Region Eastern Visayas zu analysieren. Diese Untersuchung wurde gezielt in drei (3) Provinzen der östlichen Visayas unter sechs (6) Abteilungsbüros des DepEd Region VIII durchgeführt, nämlich: Borongan City Division, Eastern Samar Division, Catbalogan City Division, Samar Division, Leyte Division und Tacloban City Division. Insgesamt nahmen 181 Schulleiter und 181 Lehrer der Junior High und Senior High School teil. Wie dargestellt, zeigte sich kein signifikanter Zusammenhang zwischen der Aufsichtskompetenz von Schulleitern und der pädagogischen Führung auf der Grundlage der Indikatoren Lernumgebung, Personalentwicklung und -management, Einbeziehung der Eltern und Gemeindepartnerschaft, Schulleitung, Management und Betrieb. Diese Ergebnisse untermauern die Ergebnisse der Studie von Saleem und Mahmood (2018), wonach das Fachwissen und die Fähigkeiten der Aufsichtspersonen zu guten Aufsichtserfahrungen führen.
