In diesem Projekt wird ein fortschrittliches, KI-gestütztes Überwachungssystem vorgestellt, das speziell zur Verbesserung der Verkehrssicherheit und zur Durchsetzung der Verkehrsvorschriften für Zweiradfahrer entwickelt wurde. Das System erkennt selbstständig Verstöße gegen die Helmpflicht und illegale Dreifachfahrten - zwei der häufigsten und gefährlichsten Verkehrsverstöße im Zusammenhang mit Motorrädern - mithilfe einer Synergie aus Echtzeit-Videoanalyse und Deep-Learning-Techniken. Das Herzstück der Erkennungspipeline ist YOLOv8, ein hochmodernes Objekterkennungsmodell, das für seine schnelle Inferenz und bemerkenswerte Genauigkeit bekannt ist und es ermöglicht, Motorradfahrer zu identifizieren, Fahrer zu zählen und die Verwendung von Helmen in Live-Videos präzise zu bestimmen. Die visuellen Daten werden mit OpenCV verarbeitet, das jedes Bild für eine effektive Objekterkennung erfasst und verfeinert. Parallel dazu verfügt das System über ein Modul zur automatischen Kennzeichenerkennung (ANPR), das auf Easy OCR basiert, um Kennzeicheninformationen von erkannten Fahrzeugen genau zu extrahieren, sobald ein Verstoß bestätigt wird.
