Les architectures de gestion localisée du transfert jouent un rôle majeur dans les réseaux sans fil pour fournir un service de qualité aux utilisateurs en déplacement. Fondamentalement, les mécanismes de transfert sont basés sur les niveaux de puissance reçus et déclenchés lorsque la station de base d’accueil n’est pas en mesure de fournir des ressources ou une puissance suffisantes pendant l’appel en cours. Les nœuds des réseaux sans fil sont alimentés par des batteries ; la détection du niveau de puissance de l’utilisateur est une tâche critique qui consomme beaucoup de ressources. Pour éviter ce scénario, trois scénarios de transfert sont proposés dans cet ouvrage : 1. Transfert d’une structure virtuelle basé sur une temporisation ; 2. transfert d’un groupe localisé ; et 3. transfert d’un réseau superposé. Ces mécanismes attribuent de nouveaux canaux ou stations de base et participent au processus de fourniture d’une qualité de service suffisante à chaque utilisateur en fonction de la demande. Des résultats numériques et de simulation permettent d’analyser des paramètres tels que le taux de réussite du transfert, le débit et le délai.
