Dieses Buch versammelt einige der Arbeiten, die im Rahmen von Lese- und Textproduktions-Workshops von Schülern öffentlicher beruflicher Gymnasien im Portugiesisch-Sprach- und Schreibunterricht entstanden sind. Ziel ist es, die Schüler zu kritischen Lesern zu ermutigen und ihnen bewusst zu machen, dass die Sprache ein Instrument der sozialen Interaktion ist, mit dem sie ihre Realität in den verschiedenen sozialen und kulturellen Kontexten, in denen sie leben, konstruieren und verändern können. Die Sprachworkshops wurden auf der Grundlage einer Untersuchung der zahlreichen Lese- und Schreibschwierigkeiten der am Lehr- und Lernprozess beteiligten Schüler geplant. Indem sie sich bestimmten Textgattungen näherten, produzierten die Schüler eine Reihe von Arbeiten, die auf Recherchen, Debatten, Gesprächskreisen, Konsultationen, Diskurskonstruktionen, digitalen Medien und technologischen Ressourcen basierten; immer auf der Grundlage von Lektüre und Reflexion für die Produktion von multimodalen Texten in einer virtuellen Umgebung.
