Hitibidal's brief, but thorough, treatment of the parables is refreshing. We feel as if we were sitting at the feet of Jesus hearing the words for the first time. One of the profound insights made by the author is that Israel is the Treasure of Great Price-hidden in the field until the Treasurer is redeemed in the latter day, redeemed and displayed to the world as the Treasurer she has always been in the sight of her Saviour. This is a book whose time has come. Often powerful statements are made in a short treaties. Such is the case with this brief volume.
