L’albero Hevea (Hevea brasiliensis) viene coltivato principalmente per il suo lattice ricco di gomma, utilizzato in vari settori. L’uso di microrganismi del suolo costituisce un’alternativa sostenibile per migliorare la fertilità del suolo. Questo studio si propone di valutare il potenziale dei funghi micorrizici arbuscolari presenti nei terreni di coltivazione della gomma della Compagnie Hévéicole de Cavally (CHC) in Costa d’Avorio. Le analisi mostrano che il terreno ha una tessitura sabbioso-argillosa e una buona composizione chimica, con una capacità di scambio cationico da 30,3 a 44,9 Cmol/g, un azoto da 0,4 a 0,5% e sostanza organica da 7,3 a 8,7%. La densità delle spore varia tra 3 e 4,5 spore/g e l’intensità micorrizica tra 1,5 e 4. L’uso continuato di fertilizzanti chimici aumenta la materia organica e le basi scambiabili, il che diminuisce l’attività fungina micorrizica nelle radici dei cloni di gomma IRCA41 e PB217.
