北大的社教运动是北大文革的预演。不了解北大的社教运动， 对北大文革的理解， 就只能停留在表面现象上。有幸收集到关于北大社教运动的一些资料。限于篇幅， 本书第一辑选用了第二次国际饭店会议期间'北大哲学系党员干部整风会议简报'的一部分及相关人员的揭发材料。本书第二辑是近两年来收集整理的有关北大文革的资料， 这些资料是对2020年出版的《北京大学文革资料选编》的补充。文革中， 作为聂元梓主要助手的孙蓬一， 在1967年4月12日有个重要讲话， 讲话的矛头指向了中央文革中王、关等几员大将， 给毛的文革造成了麻烦。后来江青说:'聂元梓那个助手不好， 出了许多坏点子'。1973年3月1日， 聂元梓、孙蓬一被戴上'五一六'反革命分子帽子， 开除党籍。1976年， 受谢静宜、迟群控制的北大宣传队， 派人登门诱迫正在受审查的孙蓬一参加所谓'批邓'， 被孙蓬一断然拒绝。1978年4月3日， 孙蓬一被北大党委骗回学校再次被关押起来。孙蓬一被逮捕关押后， 了解他的一些人表示愿意为他出庭作无罪辩护。本书第三辑收录了与孙蓬一有关的书信。从中可以看出， 孙蓬一虽然被逮捕关押了， 但他们夫妇对党中央还是非常信任的， 对未来仍然充满了希望。
