This book brings together articles that originated in the development of a specialization thesis and the completion of a distance learning specialization course offered by UTFPR, carried out by Brazilian author Aline Fornari. 'Distance Learning as an Alternative for CDI1 and GAAL Courses' addresses UTFPR’s pedagogical experience in offering CDI1 and GAAL courses in a distance learning format. ’Distance Learning Policies: Advances and Challenges in the Perception of UTFPR Tutors,’ 'Distance Learning: student profile,' and ’The challenges of face-to-face education and distance learning’ address the laws that regulate distance learning and the positive and negative aspects of an assessment and education system, according to the views of a specific group of tutors, students, and teachers who use the MOODLE environment. The results point to the importance of these perceptions in relation to improving the quality of teaching, as they identify factors that interfere with the interaction between students, teachers, tutors, and student learning.
