The thesis titled 'A Study on Adoption and Marketing Behaviour of Mango Growers in Dharmapuri District of Tamil Nadu' investigates how mango farmers adopt recommended cultivation practices and participate in marketing channels in one of India’s major mango-producing regions. The research analyzes factors influencing adoption levels, such as socio-economic status, extension contact, and access to inputs, alongside marketing behaviour, including choice of market outlets, price realization, and constraints faced in the supply chain. Data were collected from selected blocks of Dharmapuri using an ex-post facto design and pre-tested interview schedules. The thesis recommends interventions such as strengthening farmer-producer groups, promoting direct marketing and e-market platforms, and improving storage and information systems to enhance farmers’ income and market efficiency. The study contributes insights for policymakers, extension workers, and researchers in improving mango cultivation and marketing strategies in Tamil Nadu.
