Es para mí un orgullo personal haber elaborado esta obra completa sobre el manejo pretrasplante y post-trasplante hepático.He intentado hacer un abordaje completo, de las diferentes fases por la que pasa un paciente que debuta con insuficiencia hepática aguda o crónica, y que para sobrevivir, necesita someterse a esta técnica quirúrgica, en la que existen muchos aspectos que he querido daros a conocer, dentro de una claridad y metodología óptima tanto para médicos de familia y especialistas en Aparato Digestivo, que se encuentran alejados en su práctica clínica habitual del manejo multidisciplinario de los pacientes que llegan a un trasplante hepático. Por eso, espero que haya sido de utilidad su lectura, con objeto de si en alguna ocasión teneis que manejar un paciente sometido a trasplante hepático, tengais una guía de actuación resumida.
