As a Christian, one of the most enjoyable things is walking with Christ daily. One of the best ways to walk with Christ is through a daily devotion. However, sometimes the scriptures aren’t black and white. It is my prayer that through this easy to read book, you will be able to understand a little more about Christ and the example that he has set for us. For those of you who like to read and go further in your walk with Christ, but aren’t really ready to set down and read a 1000 page novel, this book may be for you. As a youth pastor, the majority of my time is spent with youth groups and others like me, so I try to keep my lessons and ideas short. This book is laid out in such a way that the chapters are short enough to cover a chapter a day. I like to think that I have a decent sense of humor, which usually means most of my jokes are corny, so maybe you can get a chuckle or two out of it as well. I’ve also tried to organize each chapter in such a way that they could be used as devotional lessons to use with a youth group when you need a five minute lesson during a pizza party. So with the promises of a daily devotion, short chapters, a little humor, why wouldn’t you love this book? But seriously, I pray that this book will bless you as much as writing it has blessed me. So let’s jump right into our journey through Matthew.

Reconsideration by Richard Bauckham has suggested that the author was a Jerusalem disciple who housed the ''Last Supper.'' This book explores the possibility that he was present...

  • Through the years with prince charming
    Paul du Quenoy
The past decade has overflowed in a raging stream of contradictions. Old certainties have yielded to relentless insecurity over a time when much of the human experience got immeasurably better even as many things only ever seemed to get worse. As Paul du Quenoy’s globetrotting criticism reveals, the arts were in a ferment that matched profound and yet totally unpredicted social...

In 1759, the court of the Italian Duchy of Parma adopted the inspiration of cultural creators who recommended a reform of Italian opera along French lines. These writers favored combining Italian-style music with the wider range of musical genres and scenic variety of French opera. As the music critic and commentator George W. Loomis shows in this groundbreaking volume, the you...
