As alterações climáticas, causadas pelo aquecimento global, tornaram-se uma realidade inegável. Trata-se de uma questão de política internacional.Durante o período 2001-2020, as temperaturas globais à superfície terão aumentado 0,99°C em comparação com o período 1850-1909. Além disso, foi demonstrado que, no caso de um aumento da temperatura global de 2°C, a região mediterrânica, à qual pertence a Tunísia, sofreria um aquecimento entre 1 e 3°C.O aquecimento global, resultado da atividade humana, teve um impacto negativo em todos os componentes do universo. No entanto, é um dos principais factores de perturbação ambiental. Estudos demonstraram que a Tunísia já sofreu os impactos negativos do aquecimento global, nomeadamente a seca, as alterações sazonais, as inundações e a degradação dos ecossistemas e dos agro-ecossistemas. Este livro, repleto de ilustrações, destina-se aos diferentes actores envolvidos na proteção do planeta, bem como aos responsáveis pelas emissões de gases com efeito de estufa.
