A COLLECTION OF PRAYERS & INVOCATIONS is a daily devotional that contains traditional litanies [wird] and supplications [du'ās] from the Holy Qur'ān and the Sunnah. It is a practical guide for the believer [mūmin]. If the wayfarer [sālik] sincerely applies its teachings he will traverse the stages of the path by his spiritual state so that for him knowledge is experience. The prayers and invocations in this manual have been transmitted by A'lāhadrat Imām Ahmad Ridā Khān al-Qādirī, and collated, with invocations, by Hujjat al-Islām Shaykh Hāmid Ridā Khān, al-Mufti al-A'zam Shaykh Mustafā Ridā Khān, and al-Mufassir al-A'zam Shaykh Ibrāhīm Ridā Khān 'Jīlānī Miyā.' This indispensible handbook is a translation of al-Wazīfat al-Karīmah by Muhammad Kalīm al-Qādirī and includes Arabic supplications with transliteration for easy recitation and memorization. About the Author Imām Ahmad Ridā Khān (b. 1272 AH/1856 CE) was a renowned Hanafī jurist, hadīth expert and theologian par excellence, recognized by scholars from the Islāmic world to be a reviver of his era. He was a prolific writer whose legal edicts were gathered into twelve encyclopedic volumes and covered almost every science of his day.
