5:1 E, vendo Jesus as multidões, subiu ao monte; e, tendo-se assentado, aproximaram-se dele os seus discípulos.5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:5:2 E, abrindo ele a boca, os ensinava, dizendo:5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,5:3 Bem-aventurados os pobres de espírito, porque deles é o reino dos céus.5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.5:4 Bem-aventurados os que choram, porque eles serão consolados.5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.5:5 Bem-aventurados os mansos, porque eles herdarão a terra.5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.5:6 Bem-aventurados os que têm fome e sede de justiça, porque eles serão fartos.5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.5:7 Bem-aventurados os misericordiosos, porque eles alcançarão misericórdia.5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.5:8 Bem-aventurados os limpos de coração, porque eles verão a Deus.5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.5:9 Bem-aventurados os pacificadores, porque eles serão chamados filhos de Deus.5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.5:10 Bem-aventurados os que são perseguidos por causa da justiça, porque deles é o reino dos céus.5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.5:11 Bem-aventurados sois vós, quando vos injuriarem, e perseguirem, e, mentindo, disserem todo mal contra vós por minha causa.5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
