O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar os fatores que afetam os professores do ensino fundamental a utilizar o YouTube no processo de ensino.Para a construção do questionário e a interpretação dos resultados utilizaram-se as variáveis teóricas da Teoria da Conduta Prevista (Theory of Planned Behavior) (Ajzen, 1991) e do Modelo de Aceitação da Tecnologia (Technology Acceptance Model) (Davis et al., 1989) .A amostra final foi constituída por 219 professores do ensino básico que trabalhavam em todas as regiões do ensino básico, na Ática.As principais conclusões da investigação foram que os professores consideram o Youtube útil como ferramenta no processo educativo. Verificou-se também um efeito positivo em factores como a vitalidade, a atualidade e a adequação, enquanto os professores mais velhos consideraram o Youtube mais útil no processo educativo. Por fim, a variável sexo não pareceu ter grande diferença na aceitação e utilização entre homens e mulheres.O trabalho resulta em recomendações para futuras pesquisas sobre o uso educacional do YouTube.
