Данное исследование является результатом проекта (часть докторской диссертации), финансируемого Обществом трансфера сельскохозяйственных технологий. Оно было проведено для обеспечения домохозяйств биогазовыми установками. Технология биогаза является альтернативным источником энергии, используемым в Судане, и предлагает возможности для участия в программе развития рынка. Настоящее исследование было начато с целью улучшения производства овощей джубрака с использованием биогаза в качестве качественного удобрения в районе, где хорошее животноводство обеспечивает огромный потенциал биомассы для работы биогаза. Предоставление альтернативного источника дохода от биогаза избавит женщин от бремени тяжелой работы и улучшит образ жизни сельских женщин.
