12:22 Καὶ εἶπεν τοῖς μαθηταίς αὐτοῦ· Διὰ τοῦτο λέγω ὑμῖν· μὴ μεριμνᾶτε διὰ τὴν ζωὴν ὑμῶν, τί θὰ φάγῃς οὔτε διὰ τὸ σῶμα, τί θὰ ντυθῇς.12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.12:23 Η ζωή είναι περισσότερο από την τροφή, και το σώμα είναι περισσότερο από τα ενδύματα.12:23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.12:24 Παρατηρήστε τα κοράκια, γιατί ούτε σπέρνουν ούτε θερίζουν, ούτε έχουν αποθήκη ούτε αποθήκη, και ο Θεός τα τρέφει. Πόσο περισσότερο εσείς είστε καλύτεροι από τα πτηνά;12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?12:25 Και τις εξ υμών, μεριμνώντας, δύναται να προσθέσει εις το ανάστημά του έναν πήχη;12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?12,26 Αν λοιπόν δεν μπορείτε να κάνετε ούτε το ελάχιστο, γιατί μεριμνάτε για τα υπόλοιπα;12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?12:27 Παρατηρήστε τα κρίνα πώς αυξάνονται· δεν κοπιάζουν, δεν γνέθουν· κι όμως σας λέω ότι ο Σολομώντας σε όλη του τη δόξα δεν ήταν ντυμένος όπως ένα από αυτά.12:27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.12:28 Ἐὰν οὕτως ἐνδύει ὁ Θεὸς τὸ χόρτο, ὅτι ὑπάρχει σήμερον εἰς τὸν χωράφι καὶ ἀύριον ρίπτεται εἰς τὸν φούρνον, πολλῶς μᾶλλον ἐσᾶς ἐνδύει, οὐκ πίστει;12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
