Präsident Touadéra nutzt das militärisch-politische Chaos, um den Wahlprozess 2020-2021 zu leiten.Nach seiner Wiederwahl möchte er die Verfassung von 2016 ändern, um die vom Kolonialismus zertrampelte Zentralafrikanische Republik weiterzuentwickeln. Diese vom Gericht abgelehnte Entscheidung wurde von Präsident Touadéra schlecht aufgenommen, der beschloss, bestimmte Verfassungsrichter zu sanktionieren, und das Gericht wurde zu einem Triptychon, das vom BRDC, den Rebellenführern und der internationalen Gemeinschaft verurteilt wurde.Doch Präsident Touadéra unternahm mit Unterstützung der Republikanischen Front einen entschiedenen Schritt und legte dem Verfassungsreferendum am 30. Juli 2023 ein neues Gesetz vor. Dieses sehr beliebte Gesetz wurde mit einer Mehrheit von 95,03 % angenommen und ebnete damit den Weg zu seinem eigene Nachfolge im Jahr 2025. Von da an begann eine endlose politische Pattsituation zwischen Präsident Touadéra und dem BRDC.
