Niniejszy dokument przedstawia wyniki badań dotyczących zarządzania populacjami zwierząt w Parku Narodowym Bénoué oraz w strefach łowieckich nr 1 i 4. Celem jest dostarczenie informacji niezbędnych do zagospodarowania tych obszarów na podstawie inwentaryzacji fauny przeprowadzonych w tym rejonie. Wyniki inwentaryzacji pozwoliły na zidentyfikowanie 24 gatunków zwierząt. Liczebność koby Buffona (N = 4616) i ourébi (N = 3922), podobnie jak większości gatunków, wykazuje tendencję spadkową. Na rozmieszczenie przestrzenne gatunków wpływają czynniki wodne i antropogeniczne. Istnieje istotna korelacja (R = -0,89 przy poziomie istotności 0,05%) między działalnością człowieka a rozmieszczeniem fauny. Gatunki zwierząt pogrupowano w zależności od presji łowieckiej (silnej, średniej i słabej) oraz przedstawiono propozycje dotyczące zmiany limitów odłowu. Proponuje się przeprowadzenie badań nad kluczowymi lub zagrożonymi gatunkami zwierząt w kontekście ich siedlisk, a także nad ograniczaniem zanieczyszczenia wody pestycydami oraz ich wpływem na dzikie zwierzęta i lokalną ludność.
