Operacja podniesienia dna zatoki szczękowej to zabieg stomatologiczny stosowany w celu zwiększenia wysokości kości w górnej szczęce (tylnej szczęce) poprzez umieszczenie materiału do przeszczepu kości w zatoce szczękowej. Jest on wykonywany głównie wtedy, gdy utrata kości i ekspansja zatoki (pneumatyzacja) utrudniają wszczepienie implantu dentystycznego.Istnieją dwie główne techniki: podejście przez okno boczne ( zewnętrzne), które jest bardziej inwazyjne, ale pozwala na większą augmentację kości, oraz podejście przez wyrostek zębodołowy (wewnętrzne), które jest mniej inwazyjne i stosowane w przypadku mniejszych przyrostów kości. Zabieg można wykonać z natychmiastowym wszczepieniem implantu lub opóźnionym wszczepieniem implantu po wytworzeniu kości.Podniesienie zatoki szczękowej zwiększa skuteczność implantacji w zanikowej szczęce, ale wymaga starannego planowania leczenia, a nowoczesne techniki pomagają osiągnąć przewidywalne wyniki funkcjonalne i estetyczne w stomatologii implantologicznej.
