Amrita Pritam is a renowned name in the world of literature. She has written short stories and poetry in Punjabi, Hindi and English. After the partition of the country, she moved from Pakistan to India. The titles and context of her short stories are not specific to any one era. She presents the role of a woman as a strong, intelligent and stable person. Amrita Pritam suffered the pain of eternal separation from her mother at a very young age. Her married life was full of ups and downs. She endured the hardships of migration and settling in a completely alien society and endured failure in love. All these circumstances and events made her stories very heartwarming and affect the heart of the reader. There is sorrow in them, but at the same time there is also a determination to endure life and go on living./अमृता प्रीतम साहित्य की दुनिया में एक मशहूर नाम हैं।
