Wyniki wykazały, że uprawa ryżu zapewnia producentom dodatnią marżę zysku. Nierównomierny rozkład opadów, powodzie, przedłużające się susze, pojawianie się nowych chorób itp. to między innymi spostrzeżenia producentów dotyczące skutków zmian klimatu.
