W niniejszym badaniu przeanalizowano dynamikę przestrzenno-czasową połowów przemysłowych w Morskim Parku Narodowym Manyange na Elombo-Campo (PNMMNEC), nowo utworzonym obszarze morskim objętym ochroną w Kamerunie. Aby wykazać utrzymujące się nielegalne połowy na tym obszarze pomimo jego oficjalnej ochrony od 2021 r., wykorzystano narzędzia i materiały metodologiczne, takie jak Global Fishing Watch, Marine Traffic, rejestry licencji połowowych oraz doniesienia społeczności lokalnej. Głównym celem badania jest ocena obecności i aktywności połowowej w latach 2018-2024, z rozróżnieniem na okres przed i po utworzeniu parku. Wyniki wskazują, że po utworzeniu PNMMNEC nastąpił spadek całkowitej liczby statków, ale odnotowano jakościowy wzrost aktywności statków rybołówstwa przemysłowego, w szczególności z 37,8 dniami nakładu połowowego w 2021 r., 51,6 dni w 2022 r. i 114 dni w 2023 r.
