Diese Studie basierte auf der Annahme, dass der Punkt, an dem die Shs50-Münze (als „wertlose' Währung) als spitzes Instrument, mit dem die Bürger ihre individuellen und kollektiven Forderungen nach einer besseren Regierungsführung artikulieren können, neuen Wert erlangte, ebenso politisch wie kulturell produktiv war und ein skulpturales Projekt formen könnte, in dem sich Kunstschaffen als Forschung und Wissensproduktion zu überschneiden beginnen. Es ging um die folgende übergreifende Frage: Auf welche Weise (wenn überhaupt) würde eine Shs50-Münze, deren Wertverlust eine neue Bedeutung als Instrument erhält, das Bürger einsetzen können, um für eine bessere Regierungsführung zu kämpfen, in der Produktion eines skulpturalen Atelierprojekts untersucht werden, bei dem es bei der Kunstproduktion ebenso um Aktivismus wie um Forschung, Sinnstiftung und Wissensproduktion geht? Ich beantworte diese Frage in sechs Kapiteln: In Kapitel 1 (der Einleitung) stelle ich die Studie vor. Kapitel 2 enthält die Literaturübersicht. In Kapitel 3 wird die Methodik vorgestellt, die ich in dieser Studie verwendet habe. In Kapitel 4 wird das Forschungsdesign vorgestellt. In Kapitel 5 folge ich Lwangas Idee, Skulpturen zum Zweck des [Selbst-]Erwachens zu schaffen.
