Melanie Franz entwickelt eine theoretisch fundierte Heuristik, die der empirischen Rekonstruktion von kooperationsgerichtetem Widerstand dient. Auf dieser konzeptionellen Basis analysiert die Autorin die Thematisierung, Bedeutung und Bearbeitung von Widerstand aus Sicht von Volkshochschulleitungen. Die Studie trägt zu einem besseren Verständnis der organisationserhaltenden, identitätswahrenden und lernanregenden Funktion des sozialen Phänomens Widerstand bei und liefert handlungspraktische Hinweise für eine widerstandssensible Organisations- und Kooperationsentwicklung im Weiterbildungsbereich.
