Which Version?

'Which Version? Authorized or Revised?' provides a rigorous and analytical examination of the differences between the historic Authorized Version (King James Bible) and the Revised Version of the late 19th century. Written by Philip Mauro, a legal professional and theologian known for his logical precision, this work addresses the critical debate surrounding the accuracy and integrity of English Bible translations. Mauro meticulously compares the two versions, evaluating the underlying manuscripts and the translation philosophies that guided the respective committees. The book serves as an essential resource for those interested in biblical textual criticism and the historical preservation of scripture. Mauro argues for the clarity and doctrinal strength of the 'Authorized Version', highlighting instances where he believes the 'Revised Version' introduces ambiguity or weakens fundamental Christian tenets. Through his clear and systematic approach, he offers readers a comprehensive look at how specific translation choices can impact the transmission of the biblical message. 'Which Version? Authorized or Revised?' remains a significant contribution to the study of bibliology, offering a spirited defense of traditional English scripture during a pivotal era of modern translation efforts. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
