The Seventy Weeks and the Great Tribulation

'The Seventy Weeks and the Great Tribulation' is a profound theological exploration into the complexities of biblical prophecy. Written by Philip Mauro, this work provides a meticulous examination of the last two visions found in the Book of Daniel and the pivotal Olivet Discourse delivered by Jesus Christ. Mauro seeks to bridge the gap between Old Testament prophecy and New Testament fulfillment, offering a structured analysis of the chronological and symbolic elements within these sacred texts. The study focuses heavily on the interpretation of the ’Seventy Weeks’ prophecy, a cornerstone of eschatological thought. Mauro delves into the historical context and the spiritual implications of these visions, often providing a perspective that emphasizes the historical realization of prophetic events. By comparing the prophetic imagery of Daniel with the teachings of the Olivet Discourse, the author provides readers with a comprehensive framework for understanding the biblical timeline and the nature of the ’Great Tribulation.’This volume serves as a significant resource for students of theology, biblical scholars, and anyone interested in the intersection of history and scripture. It remains a foundational text for those seeking to understand the development of prophetic interpretation and the enduring significance of Daniel’s visions in Christian thought. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
