The forest cover almost a third of the world’s land surface. Forest are not only valuable sources of wood and fuel, but they are also home to many types of plants and animals. Trees also stop wind and rain from removing soil, they modify the climate and slow down climate change by storing carbon. But unfortunately, the forests are rapidly shrinking. Every year, huge areas are destroyed by human activity. The ever- growing human consumption and population is the biggest cause of forest destruction due to the vast amounts of resources, products and services we take from it. Half the rainforest has been destroyed in a century! At this rate you could see them vanish altogether in your lifetime. The deer families suffer along with the other animals of the forest. This story reveals the fast race to survivor of the deer families in order to be saved. They had to race toward the path to get to the Light.
