When a Door Closes is the last in the Kerr family saga trilogy. The story centers on Bridget (Bridy) Kerr, the second youngest of the Kerr family. Bridget returned to her hometown after spending a tumultuous five years in New York. She graduated from law school and went to work for a local law firm.              Bridget’s return to her hometown was fraught with a myriad of personal and professional difficulties. She doubted her career change and lamented the loss of her old friends as their lives led them down more traditional paths. The contentment and security she craved eluded her until an unexpected twist of fate changed her life.
