Web of Steel is a historical fiction novel written by Cyrus Townsend Brady. The story is set in the early 1900s and follows the lives of two young men, John Barrows and Richard Hornby, who are both working in the steel industry. John is a hardworking and ambitious steelworker, while Richard is the son of a wealthy steel magnate. Despite their different backgrounds, the two become close friends and work together to overcome the many challenges they face in the industry. As the story unfolds, John and Richard find themselves caught up in a web of deceit and corruption as they try to navigate the cutthroat world of steel production. Along the way, they encounter a cast of colorful characters, including ruthless businessmen, corrupt politicians, and labor activists fighting for workers’ rights. As tensions rise and the steel industry becomes increasingly competitive, John and Richard must use all their skills and resources to stay ahead of the game. But as they strive for success, they begin to realize that the price of their ambition may be higher than they ever imagined.Web of Steel is a gripping tale of ambition, betrayal, and the high stakes of industrial competition in the early 20th century. With vivid descriptions of the steel industry and its players, Brady paints a rich and compelling portrait of a bygone era. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
