This is a second edition of a collection of now 87 verses, written for children in the Waldorf school. This type of verses is often referred to as Personal, Pedagogical Verses, or Birthday Verses, as the child will sometimes receive them on their birthday. Whatever the name, they are pedagogical verses spoken aloud by the child to their class once weekly. The verses are very different of character. Some have the form of meditations, some evoke strong imagery, and others are more focused on words in relation to speech. That is because each verse is written with an individual child in mind, trying to support a specific purpose each time. This selection of pedagogical verses is meant as an encouragement and an inspiration for Waldorf Teachers to try this strong, pedagogical tool themselves.
