Es handelt sich um eine experimentelle Studie, und die angewandte Methodik zielt darauf ab, Paracetamol Stresstests zu unterziehen, bei denen sein Abbau mit Hilfe der analytischen Schichtchromatographie (ADC) nach den thermischen, sauren, basischen, oxidativen und photolytischen Stressbedingungen, denen es ausgesetzt wird, analysiert wird. Vor der Durchführung der Abbaubarkeitstests musste ein Löslichkeitstest für Paracetamol durchgeführt werden, bei dem festgestellt wurde, dass es sich in Methanol besser auflöst.
