Este livro faz parte do estudo sobre os factores determinantes da não utilização da vacinação completa entre as crianças com idades compreendidas entre os 12 e os 23 meses na República do Congo. O seu principal objetivo era determinar os factores que explicam a não utilização da vacinação completa. Baseou-se teoricamente em abordagens económicas, geográficas, demográficas e socioculturais. As análises basearam-se nos dados do inquérito MCS 2015, recolhidos junto de uma população-alvo de 1 708 crianças com idades compreendidas entre os 12 e os 23 meses. A análise descritiva permitiu avaliar a prevalência de crianças de 12 a 23 meses de idade não totalmente vacinadas, que foi de 68,3%. Os resultados mostraram que os factores que favorecem a não utilização da vacinação completa nas crianças dos 12 aos 23 meses de idade são o departamento, a religião do chefe de família, a etnia do chefe de família, o nível de educação da mãe e a cultura de saúde da mãe, entre outros factores. As análises de regressão logística multivariada efectuadas confirmaram a suposta associação entre o departamento e a não utilização da vacinação completa em geral.
