Die Tätigkeit des Krankenpflegers ist allgemein bekannt und Teil der soziokulturellen Dimension der umfassenden Patientenbetreuung in Krankenhäusern. Krankenpfleger arbeiten in Krankenhäusern hart, um die Pflegeteams und die Patienten, die sie betreuen, zu unterstützen. Diese Aufgabe mit großer sozialer, moralischer und körperlicher Verantwortung wird oft als ignorierte Arbeit wahrgenommen. Dieses Buch versucht daher, das Image der Krankenpfleger aufzuwerten und neu zu bewerten. Es beschreibt die Situation der Krankenpfleger in den öffentlichen Krankenhäusern von Brazzaville (Republik Kongo), behandelt die Problematik der Krankenpfleger und die Auswirkungen der Krankenpfleger auf die Patientenversorgung. Es analysiert ihre Unterbringungsbedingungen sowie die Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit der Pfleger. Das Buch zeigt auch den Beitrag der Krankenpfleger zu den Patientenbetreuungsteams und ihre Widerstandsfähigkeit gegenüber den Situationen, denen sie in den Krankenhäusern begegnen.
