الباندا-Al Panda

منذ خمسة عشر عامًا مات والده. قتل نفسه برصاصة مسدس كان قد اشتراه ذات يوم للدفاع به عن نفسه وليس لقتل نفسه. اخترقت الرصاصة صدغه ليفارق الحياة التي أدهشته بكلّ ما فيها من دهشة وأدهشها بتلك الرصاصة بكلّ ما فيها من مباغتة غير متوقعة لأيّ أحد ما عدا أخته سعاد. كان العالم مُدهشًا بالنسبة إليه حتّى على مستوى كسر بيضة في مقلاة، وكان يضحك كثيرًا كلّما كسر بيضة في مقلاة أو كلّما رأى أخته سعاد تكسر البيض في المقلاة، وكانت تشاركه هذه الضحكات دون معرفة دقيقة للسبب الذي يقوده للضحك في هذا الموقف.لقد قتل عاصم التل نفسه في مكتبه ممدّدًا على الأريكة التي بجانب النافذة المُطلّة على شارع طويل. أمّا النافذة الثانية فلقد كان يستطيع من خلالها رؤية البناء الذي يحتوي على شقته التي يعيش فيها مع زوجته رحاب وولده عمران وابنته جيداء وأخته سعاد. لقد قتل نفسه في ليلة شتائيّة عاصفة، زاد انقطاع التيار الكهربائيّ من كآبتها واضطرابها. كلّ ما يدور كان يشير إلى أنّ شيئًا ما سيحدث في تلك الليلة. كانت السماء تتكسّر مثل وعاء زجاجيّ بداخله حمم بركان صغيرة تتحرك باتجاهات متعاكسة مصطدمة بعضها ببعض. تهشّمت مظلّات القصب التي كانت فوق أسطح الأبنية، وأجهزت الأمطار الغزيرة على بقايا الطلاء القديم المتشقّق على الجدران الخارجيّة لبعض الأبنية المهجورة، ليكون مصير هذا الطلاء ضمن سيول انحدرت نحو المنخفضات والزوايا التي صارت على شكل برك من الماء تطفو عليها الأكياس والأوراق وعُلب السجائر والكبريت والكثير من أعقاب السجائر.كانت ليلةً موحشة.Fifteen years ago, his father died. The adjacent window allowed him to see the building that housed his apartment, where he lived with his wife Rahab, his son Imran, his daughter Jaida, and his sister Saad. He killed himself on a stormy winter night, which the power outages exacerbated heightening its somber turbulence. All signs indicated that something would happen that night. The sky shattered like a glass bowl filled with small volcanic eruptions moving in opposite directions and colliding. The reed umbrellas that were above the rooftops of the buildings shattered, and heavy raindrops fell on the remnants of the old, cracked paint on the outer walls of some abandoned buildings. The paint washed away, forming streams that converged into low-lying areas and corners, transforming them into pools laden with plastic bags, papers, cigarette packs, matches, and countless cigarette butts.It was a desolate night.
