In diesem Buch wird die Auswirkung des Profils des Werkzeugstifts auf die mechanischen Eigenschaften von durch Reibrührschweißen hergestellten Verbindungen aus Aluminiumlegierungen AA2024-T351 untersucht. Es wurden vier verschiedene Profile für den Werkzeugstift entwickelt: ein gerader zylindrischer Stift, ein stufenförmiger zylindrischer Stift, ein gerader dreiseitiger Prismenstift und ein gerader quadratischer Blockstift, die zum Schweißen der Verbindungen verwendet wurden. Alle Schweißnähte wurden senkrecht zur Walzrichtung der Aluminiumlegierungen hergestellt. Zur Bewertung der mechanischen Eigenschaften wurden Zug- und Biegetests mit einer computergesteuerten Universalprüfmaschine durchgeführt. Von den vier Werkzeugen bietet das gerade Vierkantstiftprofil die besten mechanischen Eigenschaften. Es wurde eine statistische Analyse durchgeführt, um mathematische Modelle zu erhalten, die die mechanischen Reaktionen - Dehnung, Zugfestigkeit und maximale Biegekraft - mit den Eingabeparametern Schweißgeschwindigkeit und Rotationsgeschwindigkeit in Beziehung setzen, um die Eignung dieser Modelle zu überprüfen.
